Supporting the body’s natural capacity to heal and adapt

Understanding Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a gentle, hands-on approach to healthcare focused on restoring balance within the body and supporting overall function.

Treatment looks beyond the area of discomfort to identify patterns contributing to restriction or tension.

What to Expect

Treatment includes assessment, individualized hands-on care, and treatment focused on supporting long-term mobility and function.

The Osteopathic Approach

Areas of support

Patients commonly seek treatment for:

• Neck and back discomfort
• Headaches and jaw tension
• Postural strain
• Mobility restrictions
• Stress-related tension

Treatment is individualized and designed to restore ease of movement while supporting long-term function.

Amy Lutz, Manual Osteopathic Practitioner and founder of Meridian Manual Osteopathy in South Calgary

About Amy

I’m Amy, founder of Meridian Manual Osteopathy.

After more than a decade working in orthopedic surgery, I found myself increasingly drawn toward healthcare approaches that looked beyond symptoms alone. Osteopathy aligned deeply with me because it combines the science of anatomy and physiology with a broader understanding of how the body adapts, recovers, and functions as an interconnected system.

Today, I combine my background in healthcare with advanced osteopathic training to provide individualized treatment that considers how structure, movement, and function work together to support overall health.
